We will walk through the ecosystem behind GTFS, from public agencies and mobility providers to developers, contributors, and Members who help guide long-term priorities. Attendees will learn what defines a high-quality open standard, including clear governance, thoughtful change management, and a balance between innovation and stability.

The session will also highlight how transparency supports trust. We will share how proposals are tracked, how discussions take place, how documentation is maintained and improved, and how community activity drives progress.

We will even include a short onboarding demo that shows how to get started, whether you want to implement GTFS, propose changes, join a discussion, or contribute in another way.
